Samia Islam Farzana’s Mother: How One Bangladeshi Woman’s Betrayal Brought Shame to the Image of All Muslim Mothers in Bangladesh

Just days before the shocking betrayal against my organization, I gave Samia Islam Farzana’s mother a 10,000 Taka New Year and Eid Mubarak gift. This was not the only help given to Samia Islam Farzana and her family. During that same month, besides Samia’s salary, she received approximately 18 different payments from me and my organization for transportation, Eid gifts, family food support, savings assistance, scholarship-related help, support for her mother, her younger sister, her cousin, her aunt, and other family needs.

Samia Islam Farzana's Mother

This was humanitarian support. This was compassion. This was help given in good faith to a Bangladeshi Muslim family during a sacred time of blessing, gratitude, and prayer.

But only days later, according to the evidence and records now being reviewed, Samia Islam Farzana, Shahed Anwar Shadin, and Jannatul Ferdous Fareha became connected to actions that harmed, robbed, and betrayed the very organization that helped them. Even more painful, the role of Samia Islam Farzana’s mother is now under serious question. The facts appearing now suggest that she knew about the situation, cooperated with it, or benefited from the same network of betrayal.

This is why the story of Samia Islam Farzana’s mother matters. It is not only about one woman. It is about how one mother’s alleged betrayal can damage the image of Bangladeshi women, Muslim mothers, and families who are supposed to represent gratitude, honesty, dignity, and faith.

As a proud Muslim, I ask a painful question: Is this Islam? Is this the teaching of the Prophet? Is this the culture of Bangladesh? Is this how a family should repay someone who gave them support, food, gifts, and financial assistance during Eid?

No true Muslim should accept betrayal. No honorable Bangladeshi family should support theft, fraud, or abuse of trust. No mother should allow her child or family to destroy the hand that helped them.

The world must understand what happened inside Bangladesh and why this betrayal matters. I will continue releasing evidence, records, payments, and the full truth until justice is served. This case involving Samia Islam Farzana, Shahed Anwar Shadin, Jannatul Ferdous Fareha, and others will not be hidden.

Is this real life and real people of Bangladesh?

Are these typical Muslims in Bangladesh, or is this only Samia Islam Farzana and the people connected to her alleged actions?

Is this how mothers in Bangladesh live and raise their children, or is this only Samia’s mother, who allegedly raised two daughters — Samia Farzana and Jannatul Ferdous Fareha — in a way that led to betrayal, abuse of trust, and damage to the people who served their family and their nation?

The truth will come out. Justice must follow.
